Poke you!

I’ve been on the internet for over a decade now (I just realized how old I am). My hotmail account has been registered since June 25th 1999 and I clearly remember being online even before that. What I find a little odd is that I’m not too good/interested in social networking. I’ve never had a myspace account, I find facebook too crowded and twitter too busy. No offense to anyone but why would I want people to know where I am, what I’m doing and who I’m with all the livelong day!? I don’t find it wrong, nor do I find it lame. I just think it’s not for me.

Maybe it’s because I prefer socializing in real life. I really don’t know, I can’t get enough browsing, reading, even participating in forums, I just never got into socializing online. This post was inspired by Funny People, a movie by Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen. There’s a part in the movie where George Simmons (Adam Sandler) does some stand up comedy for a myspace event and ends up trashing myspace, craigslist and facebook! I can’t find that particular part but this part is also really funny!

You should give facebook a try. Not that interesting when u have a bunch of people you already know. Add strangers and watch the magic hahaa! Besides its good for when you get bored of the real world.

I’m using the facebook as an additional way to socialize with people, but Also there are some disadvantages with using this kind of technologies internet ,it’s depend on the priorities of the person, for example, Bill Gates one of the richest men in the world ,stated that the Internet is a wasting of time and he left the facebook for having lot’s of friends he might knows them or might not knows them!
